I love all these wallpaper-style monochrome floral patterns around at the moment. Like the mugs they use in the UK Big Brother house, and the Girls Aloud video after which this template is named (because 'Big Brother House Mug' doesn't have quite the same ring to it). Recolours are in the works; I'm thinking white-on-black and black-on-pink, any other suggestions?

Still waiting for submissions to be reopened on the style contest site, so you lucky livejournallers get to see it before everyone else.

Hi, I stumbled across this sort of randomly and I'd like to use it, if it's okay with you? I have my own webspace, but I can't find the place to DL the images etc. and I don't want to step on anyone's toes...

Yes, that's fine. I should really put together zips for people who'd prefer to host the images themselves. I'll get onto it later :)

I stumbled on one of your layouts on the style archive (feminism), and was wondering if I could use it? Only problem is I could not figure out how to use it. I'm currently using blogger and would like to update my template with your feminism template. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Glad you like the skin!

I haven't made my own version for Blogger, but there are a bunch of style contest entries converted to Blogger at this site. Since they're all based on the same html you should be able to use the code for any of them. (Note that these templates are for classic blogger, rather than the newer version.)

I'm not hosting the style or images anywhere myself at the moment (lj have decided to restrict its usage here to plus and paid users, and I feel I should respect that), and judging by comments on the blogger site thestylearchive.com has disabled hotlinking, so you'd have to download the zip and host it yourself.

It's easiest if you have your own hosting space, then you can simply substitute your CSS url for the one in the blogger template. Otherwise, you'd need to copy and paste the CSS into the top of the template, upload the images to photobucket or blogger and then change all the image URLs. Hope this helps!

I love this layout! I'm using it now. Can you tell me, if I'd like to put a picture banner in place of the plain one that's there, how would I do that?

Do you mean the leafy stuff in the corner? That's a background image rather than a header as such, so to replace it you could add something like:

body {background:#fff url('banner.gif') top center no-repeat !important;}

in the custom stylesheet textarea here. Does that help?

Actually, I like the leafy bit. But when I applied your style to my lj, it kept the header from my old style, for some reason -- the part where I have my title. It's a big blue bar. Actually, even if I didn't put a picture in, if I could just change it to the type of header it's supposed to be, that would be good.

OK, try #banner {background:url('banner.gif');}, that should put your image in the header.
